Intake
- Your first step is intake. After filling out our contact form you will be contacted by our Clinical Director. This is a free 15 minute phone call to see if KES is the right fit for you, ask any questions you may have, and discuss next steps.
- If you choose to move forward you will receive our intake information form and contract. Based on the learner's need and identified goals, the Clinical Supervisor will match you with the therapist they feel is best fit, and the assessment they think is most appropriate for the learner.
- Some of the assessments we are certified in are: ABLLS-R, VB-MAPP, AFLLS, IGLR, PEAK, and AIM
Getting Started
- The first session is a getting to know you session. Having a good relationship with the learners we're working with is very important! If you're not having fun with us, then we're not doing our jobs right!
- Once the learner is comfortable and happy working with their therapist they will begin the assessment. Depending on the assessment this could take anywhere from 1 hour to several sessions.
- Once completed the Clinical Supervisor is responsible for analyzing the results and providing clinical recommendations in the assessment report. This will be sent to you for consent and the programming can begin!
On-Going Services
- We will work as a team to achieve the learner's goals, how we go about this is completely up to your goals! At KES we believe in a client-centered approach that means being experts in all types of teaching.
- Some ways we teach at KES: Through play, table top activities, parent coaching, support at home, in schools and in the community, social situations, independent living skills, and even career coaching!
Discharge
- We are here to support you in your journey, but let's be honest, our main goal is to empower you, so eventually you don't need our help anymore.
- When that time comes we will work with you to ensure your goals are met and you have the tools for whatever the next step might bring!
